Path in the foxgloves
Path in the foxgloves
8x6" oil/board
min. bid $50.
It is hard to choose between foxgloves and hollyhocks to paint.
I like the tall stalks and big leaves and I think hollyhocks are more prolific
here in the Southwest.

Fresh lilacs
Fresh lilacs
8x6" oil on board
min. bid $50.
Nothing like a profusion of lilac blooms. Love the process
of painting, exploring colors, light and dark values, positive and
negative shapes.

White Daffodils
White Daffodils
6x6" oil/board
min. bid $40.
I couldn't resist buying these daffodils at the nursery. They didn't look like
the ordinary daffodils all yellow with a long cone in the middle. I planted them in
the garden and I hope they do well.

Sometimes onions are ready for spring before it is time to plant. Imagine

Wilted in Wedgewood
Wilted in Wedgewood
6x6 in. o/board
DPW auction
min. bid $40.
Little daisies grow wild in our pasture. If you pick them
they wilt before you can get them in water. Even wilted
they are pretty but the daisies are also stinky-no sweet smell
either.

Hacienda in vineyard
Hacienda in vineyard
6"x8" oil/board
DPW auction
In New Mexico there are many vineyards surrounded
by blue mountains and red tiled buildings. Water is in short supply
so everything is in close proximity.

Carnations in Wedgewood
Carnations in Wedgewood

Carnations are from my garden,
and the Wedgewood vase is a gift
from my oldest son. Antique tins
and Wedgewood are interesting
subjects to paint with light and
shadow
