Wild roses grow here in groves and are covered in blooms

in the spring, They are also extremely thorny.

I used the palette of ultramarine blue and alizarin crimson that Julie Ford Oliver

provided on her blog. I like the concept of the colors

being related to each other. It gives the painting unity.

Little daisies grow wild in our pasture. If you pick them

they wilt before you can get them in water. Even wilted

they are pretty but the daisies are also stinky-no sweet smell

Challenge Day 30 Mexican clay birds and persimmons

 

In Mexican folk art, artists paint clay figures with colorful designs and flowers .Persimmons are ripe late fall along with pomegranates, apples, pumpkins and chile, all in beautiful colors.
